Since Squaresoft has merged with Enix they have leeched off all of their titles (Including the FF series). This includes making sequels, and games for characters in other games (FFX-2, Dirge of Cerberus) movies and even making games for Nintendo and XBox.
I mean Nintendo and Xbox!!!Come on!!! Squaresoft's workers have been fired, hired, fired , hired so many times that the company is unrecognizable. Thank god they kept Tetsayu Namura (Game/story/character designer for Kingdome hearts and character designer of most of their games including FF7)

And they haven't learned that making movies without their *original* story writters is a big 'No No'.

It's just flashy graphics and swords to me. Sure it's cool to see your fav characters animated, but it ruin the mystisism and the respect that other players had for the series' story.

FF7 Was the best story game ever created, with layers after layers of mysteries that could be unravelled if you played over and over again and read closely. It was the game with the best Replay value for me!

I wish gaming companies where more like Blizzard of Valve. They take ALOt of time making their games but they seldom make sequals (They usually do updates and expansions) but they make GREAT games because of it.

I bet if THEY decided to make a movie they'd take 3 years making it and it would be a bestseller.

Yeah Lord knows we want A LOT of companies to be just like Valve! We want every game that's ever released to have 7 official release dates, we want all our most highly anticipated games to be on the "coming soon" list in the crap that is Steam for over a year! Sure Valve puts out quality games, but there's too much bullshit up until that point.

I think the reason people will dislike FFVII: Advent Children more than previously thought is because people are going to see the movie with the IDEA that it will just be another bad game-to-movie makeup. And it was actually pretty damn good.

Well, I would wait for it to come out, but it said it would be out 2 days ago. And Kawaii bat, what the hell is wrong with nintendo and xbox? PS2 is a piece of shyt system that I would gladly replace with gamecube or xbox, but they dont have its great rpgs. w/o RPG games, sony would be f***ed in the butt because everything else about their systems suck arse.

Why they shouldn't make Microsoft games
Sony bought 30% of the squaresoft company when it lost 130 million dollars producin FF: Spirits within, which is why they would have legal problems making games with the Microsoft company.

Why they can't/shouldn't make Nintendo games
And the reason why they shouldn't do games for Nintendo is because they had previously infringed copyright on Mario RPG. A game squaresoft produced but Nintendo never put them in the credit, thus destroying their contract liability. But since they merged with Enix, the Enix team can publish with Nintendo if they want to. Thus FF chronicles was born.

------------About the Gamecube and XBox (Personnally)--------

Nintendo
Nintendo will go the same way as Sega eventually because it's being swamped by it's competition (Sony) in it's own homeland of Japan and is not as popular over there. And besides, they reveal a new system every 1.5 year (which is ,by the way, incompatable with the older consol's games) and producing games for that counsol only because of a lack of *manpower*. Thus they render their older consola' game useless, while Sony still produces PS1 games here and there and PS1 are still being bought today. Each of it's new systems' is compatible with the last one's game.

XBox
Is a computer in a box and it takes me *forever* just to play something on it: Enter here, select there then press this this that button. It's lime green X design is maybe appealing to the male genre but not to me, while PS2's slick blue design appeals to both female and male gamers.

I prefer Systems that are simple, elegent and stylish, being an artist myself. I don't need something that can play computer games, that's why I have a Computer in the first place.

Microsoft just saw that Sony was making money out of making consol games. But their machine lacks the marketing power of Sony where it counts. If it doesn't catch in Japan, it will never prevail over PS2.

(And why is PS2 a piece of shit? You never told me your reasons for disliking it you just say it)

i dont see how mario RPG could have possiply infriged copyright with square, when you load up the game it has a big SQUARE logo pop up. and FF:CC was a good game, but if it was online it would have been MUCH better, it had the ability, but it wasnt online and was way too easy. thats why it bombed. And as for spirits within, i liked the movie, not as a FF movie, but i still liked it.

Well I just saw the movie and this is how I feel about it.

1, The whole two day thing (It was two days not one) I found it if it was any longer it would just be filled with long moments that would make you think "Whee awesome CG but can we get going with the real SL now?" Making a movie that's based on a game that took more than one day will make it bad. That's why the game was long because the storyline is long.. making a movie you kinda already know everything.. and trying to make an old game with a new SL twist is pretty hard even especiallty without the original cast who came up with the SL.

Making it two days made me think "Oh so not everyone on the planet died after all" you get that feeling everyone did died accept Nanaki at the end of the game. And there's still a few kinks in the world that needs to be straightened out..

"A new virus, Aeris' Death, Cloud's worries, how is everyone and basically what happened after the smack from the meteor."

2, The fight scenes. Why does everyone HAVE to compare it to Matrix? Matrix has got to be horrible with the fight scenes (at the very end and what not) if you do compare it to a movie that sucks you'll only ruin it for yourself. I thought nothing of it like that.. sure there was a LOT of fighting but hey FF all you did was fight->SL->Boss->fight->SL-> Boss. -Side quests, games and more SL- Beat the game's hardest boss for props or beat the game in general. The End. That's what I saw.. Emo, fights and comedy relief and I think they did good with it.

I didn't give high expectations because if you do you'll probably ruin for yourself.

I've waited Four years to see this movie and in the end I'm not disapointed. Some things I was confused about but hey you try getting the best graphics and a storyline to continue from a game that was already DONE.

Other things.
Sequels. FFX-2 should've not exist and I haven't even beaten it yet. And FF XI being on online shouldn't be Online. FF was known for a oneplayer game who can fit into a storyline (Even though it's really not a real Roleplay just following through the footsteps of a linear storyline) and just play it.
FF XI is a MMORPG with Final Fantasy elements into it.. No one actually Roleplays as I can see.. yes it is its own world but it should not be called XI because it's a endless game =P All the series do end. FF XI should've been called, FF:forever or something. But now I'll have everygame and a empty slot for FF XI because it was an online game I got A,Tired of or B, isn't popular anymore. I'm not saying it's a bad game but just saying it's not a real FF like FFx-2. In general it's a gamble for a sequal to be good, if not better than the original which is usually better.

Overall I liked the movie it could've been worse.

As far as systems go I'd rather get the PS3 than the new 360.. I mean I have to pay an extra 100 bucks for a harddrive just for them to make a profit? Forget it. And I've only gotten like.. two or three games I actually bought for Xbox and the rest played at a friends or rented. And I'd I could play them on the Computer anyway for some of them.

My 3 dollars there.

I'm not bashing your opinion, i'm bashing you with factual statements..

The Xbox has faster loader times then the PS2. I have both and I know this for sure. If anything PS2 takes much longer to boot up and actually play. While xbox is pop in the disc and the box will read it and you'll be on your way. The thing is to not PRESS anything while waiting the 3 seconds after putting a disc in. Let me guess, you don't own an xbox?

Yeah, i'll agree that the PS2 is prettier to look at and actually haul around from here to there.

I like the ps2 BEST out of all 3 of this gens console. But the main reason people aren't liking the PS2 nowadays is because of the fatal DRE's. After a while almost every PS2 get's it and games are unplayable (I figured out how to fix it by the way, and so did a lot of other people

) and it just shows sony's weak craftsmanship. What i'm seeing otherwise on Xbox and Gamecue is that the hardware is built tough and won't break.

Oh and a lot of other people THINK that ps2 has terrible graphics while the graphics always stand toe to toe with Xbox and Gamecube. Well, those people don't know much.

the first batch of mario RPG was made without Squaresoft mentioned anywhere in it.

Watched it yet? No. But my brother has. And I would like to throw him across the room.

How do I feel about the systems? I feel that Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo will be going at it for a lot more years to come. Each has their own games that I feel makes each one special.

Sony - I love the RPG games. Except FFX-2.
